St. Aquila and Priscilla Couple’s Meeting

Sts. Aquila and Priscilla Couple’s Meeting helps married and engaged couples grow together in Christ, forgiveness, communication, and Orthodox family life.

Sts. Aquila and Priscilla Couple’s Meeting is a parish fellowship and formation ministry for married and engaged couples who want to grow together in Christ.

Why Sts. Aquila and Priscilla?

Sts. Aquila and Priscilla were a faithful married couple, co-workers with St. Paul, and servants of the early Church. Their life gives couples a model of marriage as shared discipleship, hospitality, teaching, sacrifice, and service.

What the Meeting Is For

The couples meeting gives husbands and wives time to step aside from the pace of daily life and reflect together on marriage, family, communication, forgiveness, parenting, spiritual leadership, and service. The goal is not only to discuss marriage, but to strengthen the home as a small church rooted in prayer, repentance, and love.

  • Orthodox teaching on marriage as a sacrament and a shared path to holiness.
  • Practical conversations about communication, forgiveness, finances, decision-making, boundaries, and family life.
  • Fellowship with other couples in the parish.
  • Space for reflection, discussion, encouragement, and prayer.
  • Support for building habits of prayer, humility, repentance, and mutual care at home.

Marriage as a Shared Spiritual Life

In the Orthodox Church, marriage is not only a relationship between two people. It is a sacramental path in which husband and wife learn to carry one another, forgive one another, serve one another, and grow together toward Christ. The meeting helps couples connect the theology of marriage with the ordinary details of daily life.

Topics may include the meaning of a godly marriage, communication, healing through forgiveness, parenting, finances, boundaries, decision-making, spiritual leadership, love and respect, and the ways the enemy attacks the family. These conversations are meant to be practical, pastoral, and rooted in the life of the Church.

What to Expect

Each gathering offers couples a chance to receive teaching, reflect honestly, and strengthen their relationships with God and with one another. The tone is welcoming and practical, with room for encouragement, discussion, and fellowship with other couples walking the same path.

The meeting is not limited to couples facing a specific problem. It is for couples who want to keep growing, build healthier habits, deepen their spiritual life, and make their home a place of prayer, peace, and service.

Who Should Come

Married and engaged couples are welcome. Couples do not need to have attended earlier sessions to join. The meeting is especially helpful for couples who want to build habits of prayer, communication, forgiveness, and mutual support in an Orthodox home.
