Cleaning Service

Cleaning Service is a practical ministry of stewardship that keeps the church ready for worship, classes, and fellowship.

Cleaning Service is a quiet but essential ministry of stewardship at St. Paul. Cleaning servants help keep the church, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, fellowship areas, and shared spaces ready for worship, education, service, and parish life.

Cleaning Servants Needed

Cleaning servants currently help on Sundays on a rotation. This allows the work to be shared across volunteers while making sure the church is cared for consistently.

For questions or to join the rotation, please use the contact form and select Cleaning Service so the request can be routed appropriately.

Why It Matters

The church building is a place of prayer. Keeping it clean is an act of love for God, hospitality for visitors, care for children and families, and respect for everyone who gathers for the Divine Liturgy, classes, meetings, and fellowship.

This ministry is not simply maintenance. It is a practical way to serve the whole parish, preparing the spaces where people pray, learn, eat together, meet with servants, and receive pastoral care.

How Volunteers Serve

  • Clean and reset shared spaces after Sunday services and church activities.
  • Help with classrooms, hallways, fellowship areas, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Support kitchen and dining hall cleanup after meals or parish gatherings.
  • Take out trash, wipe surfaces, sweep, vacuum, mop, and restore supplies as needed.
  • Help with periodic deep-cleaning days and seasonal preparation.
  • Teach children and youth by example that service includes humble, practical care for the house of God.

Sunday Rotation

Volunteers serve according to a rotation so the responsibility is predictable and manageable. The schedule may change depending on liturgies, events, classes, and special services.

Families, adults, youth, and ministry groups can all help. Younger volunteers should serve with parent or servant supervision and follow the direction of the cleaning coordinator.

Getting Involved

To volunteer, ask to be added to the Sunday cleaning rotation or contact the church for help connecting with the cleaning coordinator. This is a simple and meaningful way to offer time and effort for the good of the whole parish.
