Greeters Team

Greeters Team helps visitors, new families, and parish members feel welcomed and oriented at St. Paul.

Greeters Team helps St. Paul welcome visitors, new families, and parish members with warmth, clarity, and care. This team is often the first human contact someone has when they arrives at church, so it is an important part of parish hospitality.

Why It Matters

A welcoming parish helps people pray with less confusion and feel less alone. Greeters can help visitors find the nave, restrooms, children's spaces, clergy, Sunday School, fellowship, and practical next steps without making them feel singled out or overwhelmed.

How Greeters Serve

  • Welcome people as they arrive for services, classes, or parish events.
  • Help visitors know where to go and what to expect.
  • Direct families to children's classes, restrooms, fellowship areas, and clergy when appropriate.
  • Offer printed or digital resources for common visitor questions.
  • Help new families connect with membership, announcements, and parish communication.
  • Serve with discretion, kindness, and respect for people who may prefer quiet space.

Who Can Help

Adults, families, servants, and older youth can help with greeting when scheduled and guided by the ministry team. Greeters should be comfortable speaking kindly with visitors, giving simple directions, and asking another servant or clergy member when they do not know the answer.

Getting Involved

Use the contact page or speak with a servant if you would like to help welcome visitors and new families. This is a simple but meaningful way to serve Christ by receiving His people with love.
